Spirit Guides – Our Divine Helpers

Spirit Guides are Spirits, who have previously lived on the Earth plane, but now reside on the, “Other Side,” in the Spirit Realm. They have attained great Spiritual growth from their many lifetimes on Earth, and no longer need to reincarnate.

They are now concerned with guiding their living human charges toward their charge’s pre-incarnate (prior to incarnating into a human body) goals, with whispers and nudges from the Other Side, as well as placing opportunities for Spiritual growth in their path.

It is believed that each living Soul (the essence which lives on after death of the physical body) has one main Spirit Guide, whom is with them through all of their Earthly incarnations, to guide that Soul toward its ultimate Spiritual attainment.

Moreover, there are additional Guides, who are assigned to a living Soul’s specific lifetime, or parts of a lifetime. These guides serve to help with specific projects their human charge is involved in, or inspire them to discover their incarnate gifts and talents, such as, healing, writing, teaching, art, music, athletics, etc. These are the gifts the Soul is meant to share with the world, in order to fulfill their current “Life’s Purpose.”

Sometimes a deceased loved one’s Spirit may join in guiding a living Soul. Messages from deceased loved ones differ, in that they most often relate more to relationships, events, and situations of Earthly life, than to a living Soul’s growth, or Life’s Purpose.

Types of Spirit Guides

Main Guide – A Main Guide is a Soul who has learned and evolved through their own Earthly lifetimes, to the level that they no longer need to reincarnate. Subsequently, they have been assigned to a specific Soul to guide them through all of their Earthly lifetimes, to guide the Soul toward their Soul’s growth, the very reason for Souls to reincarnate.

Discarnate Soul Group Comrades – When a Soul comes into an Earthly incarnation, they do not do so alone. They incarnate with other Souls, who are members of the same “Soul Group,” on the Other Side, who have agreed to play parts in each other’s Earthly lives, in order to learn Soul lessons for their Soul’s Spiritual growth.

However, those Soul Group members who remain behind on the Other Side, serve to deliver messages to their incarnate comrades that relate to each individual Soul’s pre-incarnate plan. These Guides can exhibit a considerable sense of humor, delivering somewhat quirky messages.

Helper Guides – Helper Guides help the living Soul with specific projects, in areas in which they have special expertise.

Muse Guides – Muses are Guides who are mostly concerned with the living Soul’s Life’s Purpose, which is always to serve others. Muses help the living Soul discover the special gifts and talents they incarnated with, and inspire them to use their gifts and talents to serve others in their current lifetime.

Deceased Loved Ones – Spirits of deceased family members, lovers, or friends may also watch over a living Soul to share in their joyful events, and console them in their unfortunate events, and may even offer a warning of an unfortunate event on the horizon. They know so much more about life on the Other Side, than when they were alive.

Ascended Masters – Ascended Masters are the highest of enlightened Souls, and keepers of the ancient wisdom, who have lived many incarnations in human form, received many Spiritual initiations, and subsequently have ascended to the Spirit Realm, taking their physical bodies with them. Therefore, they can return to the Earth plane, in their human bodies when needed to aid the ascension of humankind, as a whole.

Examples of Ascended Masters are, Jesus, Buddha, Quan Yin, Babaji, Saint Germaine Cousin, etc. A rare encounter with an Ascended Master, would truly be a life transformative event for a living Soul.

Note: Archangels, Animal Totems, and Nature Spirits, who also offer guidance when called upon, are not discussed here, because they have not experienced a human life. We will delve into these fascinating Beings in future blog posts.

How Spirit Guides Communicate with Their Humans

Spirit Guides don’t like to interfere with their human charge’s Earthly affairs unless asked, but on occasion will offer help in important situations without being asked. However, when asked they will always help, but not always in the expected way. They will not violate anyone’s free will, or help harm come to another.

Spirit Guide messages can come in images, words, feelings, or knowings in the living Soul’s body, or be delivered by another human at just the right time.

Synchronistic Events – Those inexplicable “meaningful coincidences,” as coined by Carl Jung. There are no accidents in the Universe!

Repeating Number Sequences – Frequently seeing the same repeating number sequence like, 111, 222, 333, etc., on clocks, auto license plates, billboards, road signs, etc.

Dream Symbols – Symbols seen in dreams can be messages for guiding a living Soul’s waking life.

Song Lyrics – A song that gets stuck in the head, apropos lyrics heard in a song, or in a commercial jingle.

Clairvoyance – Guidance as a message seen in one’s mind’s eye.

Clairaudience – Guidance as an auditory message from the Other Side.

Clairsentience – Guidance as a feeling in one’s body.

Claircognizance – Guidance as knowing something, without knowing how it is known.

How to Create a Relationship with Your Spirit Guides

Give them a name – Names aren’t important to Spirit Guides, but if they are important to you, choose a name for your Guides. Then you can call on them by name, and keep several Guides straight in your own mind.

Ask for their guidance – State in your mind that you are in need of, and ready to receive your Guides’ wise counsel. Then be hyper alert for signs from your Guides that answer your call for guidance.

Pay attention to signs they may give you – Signs from your Guides, or loved ones can appear as such things as, multiple sightings of Cardinals, feathers, pennies, electronic phenomena, repeating number sequences, song or commercial lyrics, and synchronistic events, such as meeting the right person, at just the right time,

When they give guidance, follow it! – It’s important to follow the guidance you receive from your Guides, or they will stop offering their guidance. It’s not your imagination, you are actually being wisely guided.

Use divination tools to receive their guidance – Divinition tools, such as Tarot and Oracle Cards for insight, a Pendulum for Yes/No answers, or kinesiology (muscle testing) for determining Truth/Falsehood can access guidance from your Guides.

Develop strong intuitive skills – Develop your inherent intuitive skills of clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, and claircognizance, by training and practicing accessing them. You must exercise your intuitive “muscles” to create strong intuitive skills.

Develop a consistent meditation practice – Create a consistent meditation practice, on the same day, and same time of day, so your Guides will know when you will be in a meditative state (alpha brainwave state), and thus open to receive their guidance. The more frequent you meditate, the quicker you will become skilled at it.

It is important to remember that your Spirit Guides don’t work for your ”personality self,” rather they work for your ”Soul self.” Therefore, they will not save you from painful lessons, when those lessons are part of your own Soul’s personal plan for its current Earthly incarnation. However, they will attempt to save you from a misstep, if it’s not related to a Soul lesson.

All Souls are growth seeking beings, both while on the Earth Plane, and while in the Spirit Realm between Earthly incarnations. Sorry to disappoint, but there’s no taking it easy, just chilling on a cloud, in the Spirit Realm. Lol! It’s all about gaining Spiritual lessons, for your Soul’s growth. Whichever Realm your Soul happens to inhabit, school is always in session.
