The “Clairs,” are 6 forms of super-sensing, used in the detection of intuitive, or psychic information. The prefix, ”Clair,” simply means clear, and the term ”super-sensing” here, refers to sensing intuitively, or psychically, above and beyond, that which our human sensing faculties are capable of. The 6 Coveted Clairs are listed below:
- Clairvoyance (clear seeing)
- Clairaudience (clear hearing)
- Clairsentience (clear feeling)
- Claircognizance (clear knowing)
- Clairalience (clear smelling)
- Clairgustance (clear tasting)
Though all of these skills can be cultivated, there is usually one, or more of them, that we are naturally stronger in, and thus use more often. Some of us are Seers, some Hearers, some Feelers, some Knowers, some Smellers, and some Tasters. Whichever form of super-sensing we most often use, we can always train to bring in another form, to enhance our ability to detect accurate and meaningful intuitive information.
Training in the Clairs, comes under tthe expansive genre of Psychic Development, possibly my favorite thing to practice, and teach! The more we practice any of the Clairs, the stronger the skill becomes for us, quite like exercising a muscle.
The 6 Coveted Clairs
Clairvoyance (Clear Seeing) – This is the ability to see images, with the eyes open, or closed, of people, places, events, or abstract symbols that are not physically present. Clarvoyance is also known as, “Second Sight.” and is the most highly sought after of the Clairs, since a picture is believed to be, “worth 1000 words.” This skill uses the mechanism that is used for dreaming and imagination, and is therefore accessible to all.
Clairvoyance is accessed when the 3rd Eye Chakra is activated. This Chakra (spinning vortex of energy) is located behind the forehead, between the eyes, and is connected to the Pituitary Gland. When the organ eyes shut down, the 3rd Eye activates to produce images, as a protection mechanism, to keep us safe. Clairvoyance can be cultivated to provide very specific visual messages relevant to our lives.
Clairaudience (Clear Hearing) – This is the ability to hear messages, either in our own voice, or the voice of another. This voice can seem to come from our own mind, or from outside of us. The message can be a word, a sentence, a phrase, or a song.
Some very skilled Clairaudients can actually channel the voice of a disembodied Spirit. In the past, Jane Roberts channeled a Spirit, who identified himself as, Seth, and in present times Esther Hicks channels a group of Spirits, who identify themselves as, Abraham.
Channeled information is most often, very uplifting messages, given for the benefit of humans and is accessed when the Throat Chakra is activated. The Throat Chakra is located in the throat cavity, level with the larynx, and is connected to the Thyroid Gland.
Clairsentience (Clear Feeling) – This is the ability to feel, within our own body, the energy of messages. This is also known as, having “gut feeling” about something, or someone, which can be either a negative, or positive feeling.
This skill is accessed when the Sacral Chakra (3 fingers below the navel), where emotions arise, and the Solar Plexus Chakra (3 fingers above the navel), where the emotional sensation is felt, are activated.
These Chakras are connected to the Gonads (Testes and Ovaries) and the Pancreas Glands, respectively. Clairsentience is probably the most often used super-sensing form of intuition, used either alone, or in combination with one, or more of the other form.
Claircognizance (Clear Knowing) – This is the ability to just know a piece of information, without knowing how we know. This skill is accessed when the Crown Chakra is activated, which is located above the crown of the head, and is connected to the Pineal Gland.
This is the most skilled method of super-sensing, and the most coveted. If we know the message, there is no guessing as to the meaning of the image, the words, or the feelings.
Clairalience (Clear Smelling) – This is the ability to smell the scent of something, when the scent is not physically present, like a cologne, or tobacco that a deceased person used when alive. This form is not as common, as the above forms of super-sensing.
Clairgustance (Clear Tasting) – This is the ability to taste something, when there is nothing in your mouth to taste. This form is the least common form of super-sensing.
Where Does Received Intuitive Information Come From?
The messages we receive with the 6 Clair methods of super-sensing, are likely given to us by one, or more sources, such as, our own Higher Self, the Universal Wisdom, Spirits of deceased loved ones, our Spirit Guides, Angels, etc. However, we also may be directly accessing the Akashic Records, on a specific topic.
Akashic is a Sanskrit term meaning, “information imprinted within the ethers.” The Akashic Records, are literally information, in energetic form, about everything that ever has existed, exists now, or ever will exist, stored within the Universal Field. The Akashic Records are there to be accessed at any time, by anyone, who is capable of accessing them, using one or more of the Clair methods of super-sensing.
We’ve all been using one, or more of the Clairs since childhood, but if there is another Clair we desire to possess, we can develop it with training and practice.
One last note; it’s important to heed the guidance our Guides give us, for if we don’t, they will simply stop giving us their guidance. This would be akin to flying through life without our navigation system, and most unfortunate, because our Guides are always there, ready and waiting, to guide us. We only need to ask, and then use the guidance given.
